COMMON QUESTIONS

Things we're asked a lot.

How often should I clean?

Clean your piercing twice daily with saline spray. Avoid over-cleaning as it can irritate the tissue.

Should I twist my jewelry?

No, twisting disrupts the healing process and can introduce bacteria.

How long does healing take?

Lobe piercings heal in 6–9 months; cartilage can take 9–18 months.

Can I go swimming?

Avoid pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water to prevent infection.

What should I avoid?

Avoid alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil, and heavy creams.

When can I change jewelry?

Only change jewelry after full healing. Switch to shorter posts once swelling subsides.
