Where simplicity meets pure light.
A single stone, held in prongs, hanging on a fine chain. The solitaire has lasted because its simplicity is a kind of confidence. It says this stone is enough, and anything else would be decoration.
The RAY is MNML's take on that idea. It's a single high-grade cubic zirconia in a classic prong setting, on a fine cable chain of rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver. The prongs grip the stone at its widest point and leave most of it open, so light enters from the sides and below as well as from above. It catches light from the front, from the side, and at the edge of your vision.
Choose your size. The 3mm is a quiet point of light that people notice up close. The 4mm is the balanced choice, visible at conversation distance and restrained enough for anywhere. The 5mm is the confident one, with sparkle that's meant to be seen.
At 40cm, the RAY rests at the base of the neck. The 5cm extension lets it drop closer to the collarbone. It arrives in an MNML gift box, ready to give.

FAQ
Which stone size should I choose: 3mm, 4mm or 5mm?
The 3mm is subtle, a precise point of light that people notice up close. The 4mm is the balanced choice, clearly visible as a solitaire without feeling bold. The 5mm has real presence and reads clearly from across a room. If you're unsure, or it's a gift, the 4mm is the easiest place to start.
Is the stone on the RAY necklace a diamond?
No. The RAY is set with a high-grade cubic zirconia, a lab-created stone cut for bright, clear sparkle.
What's the difference between the RAY Solitaire Necklace and the Ray Moissanite Bracelet?
They share a name and the same 3mm, 4mm and 5mm size options, but they use different stones. The RAY Solitaire Necklace is set with cubic zirconia. The Ray Moissanite Bracelet is set with D colour VVS1 moissanite, which is much harder and shows more fire. If you're building a matching set, check which stone you want before ordering.
What is a prong setting?
A prong setting uses small metal claws to hold the stone at its widest point, leaving most of the stone exposed. Light can reach it from the sides and below as well as from above, which gives more sparkle than a bezel or channel setting.
Does cubic zirconia look like a diamond?
From a normal distance, a good CZ gives a bright, diamond-like look. Up close, they differ. CZ has a lower refractive index than diamond, 2.15 to 2.18 against diamond's 2.42, and it shows more rainbow fire. It's also softer, at 8 to 8.5 on the Mohs scale, so it can gather fine scratches over years of wear. As a pendant, it gets far less wear than a ring stone.
Where does the RAY necklace sit?
At 40cm, it rests at the base of the neck on most people. With the 5cm extension fully open, it reaches about 45cm and sits closer to the collarbone.
Can I layer the RAY with other necklaces?
Yes. Add a shorter plain chain above it and a longer one below. The single stone adds light without competing with the other chains.
Will the RAY necklace tarnish?
Sterling silver can darken over time, and rhodium plating wears gradually with regular use, often faster in humid weather. Keep it away from perfume, lotion and chlorine, wipe it after wearing, and store it dry in its box.
Can I shower or swim with the RAY necklace?
No. Take it off before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Water, sweat and chlorine speed up tarnishing on silver, and soap residue dulls the stone.
Is the RAY suitable for sensitive skin?
Rhodium plating over 925 sterling silver is well tolerated by most skin types, because the plating sits between the silver alloy and your skin. If your skin reacts easily to metals, the titanium pieces in MNML's Elements collection are the most reliable choice.
Is the RAY a good gift?
Yes. A single solitaire is one of the most universally loved pendant designs, which makes it a safe choice for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day and graduations. It arrives in an MNML gift box, ready to give.
