We first crossed paths at University — Nicole from Mass Communication, Nicholas from Food Technology. What started as a simple love story slowly became the beginning of something bigger.

In 2011, armed with only a few hundred ringgit and a shared dream, we created handmade clay jewelry (Colourss Clay) and brass accessories (Vintage1988), selling them at college bazaars and small mall pushcarts. Those early days taught us the heart of retail: to listen, to care, and to grow one customer at a time.

By 2015, our journey found its name — Minimalist Lab (MNML). A small store built on persistence, passion, and the belief that jewelry should feel meaningful, personal, and accessible.

Our path wasn’t linear. In 2018, we stepped into F&B with V88 Café, where Nicholas learned the grit of operations, people, and scale. Nicole took a two-year career break — not to step back, but to realign, rediscover, and return stronger with purpose.

In 2024, we came home — fully committed to rebuilding MNML with newfound clarity and experience. Today, from humble bazaars to flagship stores in TRX, Pavilion KL, and Sunway Velocity, MNML stands as more than a jewelry brand.
